And they is most definitely us. Today's "face the fear" breakthrough (god, sounds like an Oprah moment): fear of abandonment. If the first step is feel the fear, the next step is to name it.
I'm calling this one "Velma."

Very cool. I am going to start giving my fears names like that.
When big sister was diagnosed with breast cancer and I started having yearly mamograms, I named the "girls". "Lefty" and "Newt" (because she is far right). Somehow, I felt if we were on a first name basis, the girls wouldn't turn on me. Don't ask me why the girls have male names...just worked out that way.
