...is hanging with really, really smart people. This guy is one of the smartest and coolest people I've ever gone to school with--and I've met a helluvalot of really smart and cool people.
So read his great letter to US News & World Repeat. And remember--we love our jobs. We do this because we believe in it. We're blessed to be able to do it. Just don't exaggerate our earnings or underestimate our workload or suggest that we don't do our damnedest to generate a real spirit of inquiry in a classroom filled with students taught to sip and spit by an overburdened, test-ified public school system. (That's the system, folks, the one we're ALL responsible for!)
