1. We have a doorbell! After months of folks having to stand on the porch and pound on fragile old glass (or use their cell phones to call us), we can now tell if we have visitors.
2. Maddie's new pain medication, which has made her a bit more mobile. That is, she actually gets up from her bed when she sees me come home, without me having to cajole. And that's a very good sign indeed.

4. Fun with syllabi! Getting lots of prep done for next week and the start of a new semester. Of course, I'll forget something. I always do.
