Sanity Maintenance

Let me pause, in the midst of grading (no sympathy required--I have only a wee bit left to do), to share this bit of wisdom, which came to me by way of a chain email. The email offered 20 ways to maintain one's sanity through the holidays, and this is by far my favorite:

No. 7: Finish all your sentences with, "In Accordance With The Prophecy."

And so I shall. I imagine it will go something like this:
"Here are my grade sheets, Colleen....[intones sonorously] In Accordance With The Prophecy."

Colleen will cautiously accept the grade sheets, and after I've left, ask the rest of the staff if I've seemed a bit, well, off of late.

Tee hee.

I'm off to visit folks in Bingo...altogether now..."In Accordance With The Prophecy!"
