Remembering Harley
Harley (1996-2006) was a loving, friendly, self-confident cat who enjoyed the company of all people, particularly those who might be allergic. She leaves us following a mercifully short illness. I'm especially grateful to those who took care of her while I was gone last week, before she became ill, and who did a wonderful job--she loved the extra attention (and the tuna treats).
I'll miss the early morning love bites (when she wanted breakfast), and her three-stroke rumbly purr that earned her the name of Harley. She was a good friend to her former companion, Rupert, who often started fights with neighborhood tomcats that he couldn't finish. She is survived by her canine sibling, Maddie, and by me.

She sounds like a wonderful friend.
I'm so sorry to hear about this, Susan. You and Maddie are in my thoughts at this time.
oh honey, I'm so so sorry.
me too. sorry sorry.
Harley was such a sweetie! I'm glad that I was able to meet her.
Harley was lucky to be so loved. Rest in peace.
Harley was so friendly and welcoming, a real joy. I knew her in Binghamton and then Jersey City. I hope Maddie and you are okay.

Susan, I know from our conversations about your pets, just how much you care for them. I've given you my spiel on quality of life, formed by 23 years in the trenches at the vet clinic. You have always done the best for your beloved pets, given them the best possible care, and loved them well.
Big hugs to you!!!! I am so proud of you in so many ways.
