Susan at the Beechwood Cafe

Susan at the Beechwood Cafe, originally uploaded by susansinclair.

Ms GF snapped this shot of me, and I think it's one of the first candid shots of me facing the camera I've every seen. I'm usually smiling--frequently because I'm happy, but sometimes out of habit. Part of that tap-dancing, "why can't everyone just get along?" childhood pattern. Of course, my first thought on seeing this is that my hair is flat and messy, and that my chin is a disaster, thanks to the summer's terribly humidity and naturally pore-challenged skin. But that expression is intriguing, those clear and direct eyes. This is definitely me. Me at 43.

Lovely! And healthy and happy, too, for all appearances.

I really, really like this pic of you. It "gets" you, in all the best ways.

This is a great photo. I'd definitely print a copy, if I weren't technology challenged, and add it to the K & S shadowbox collection (TM).

You look great! (and I wouldn't have noticed the other things if you hadn't pointed them out)
