Some cell phone is marketing itself with ACDC's "Back in Black." I'm not a fan of the band or the song, but that's not what's bothering me. No, everytime I hear this song, I flash back on the 1981 Shoreline High School talent show, sponsored by the Thespian Club (of which I was president). There, on the Lectorium stage, in front of a full house of 600 students, members of the flag corps did a fabulously inappropriate bump-and-grind under black light, wearing dark outfits with white gloves sewn on in various positions.
Truly an auspicious moment in the history of Thespians everywhere.
