Does anyone else find Eleanor Beardsley's voice charming? She reports from Paris for NPR, and there's something marvelous about that Southern US accent pronouncing French names and phrases. Sigh.

Here's my question: susansinclair? What's that about, schmoozin. I've never heard you call yourself that.
susanmarie was taken. "sinclair" was the new name I tried to give myself when I moved to Oregon in 1983. I always thought S.Sinclair would make a good penname for my steamy lesbian novels.
YES! And I'm delighted to find someone else does too...though you're probably long gone from this blog since it's over 2 years old. But just in case you still get this, I had to let you know that I agree heartily with your sentiments. Today, after hearing one more beguiling report from Paris on NPR, I decided to look up Eleanor on the NPR Voices section of NPR's web site. I was sorely disappointed to find she's not listed. So I googled her, and lo and behold there was your blog on page one. We should start the Eleanor Beardsley Fan Club!
BTW, I'm a 48 year-old corporate pilot in Arizona...how unlikely is THAT!
Yeah, she's not listed on the NPR site! I think she's a freelancer or???
Anyway y'all might find this article interesting. (If that didn't work, just search for her name in Google images.) Apparently she's from South Carolina.
so weird... much like adriel said i heard her on npr this morning giving a report from paris - and noticed her accent so i decided to google her to find out where she was from, and found your blog... i found her accent quite charming too.
I'll join the club, heard her voice, found it charming, wondered what that accent is and ended up here. Here, you can find a photo, attached to an article:
