So, of course, the registrar anticipated foolish faculty such as myself missing a deadline for posting midterm grades, and apparently left a bit of cushion. So, I confessed to my students for nothing.
Except that I know they find our foibles entertaining. And I live to entertain.

And not having midterm grades would be the end of the world?
I don't remember getting any midterm grades at our alma mater.
