My father describes the editorial cartoons to me over the phone and I explain the intertextual allusions. Case in point: Thomas "Tab" Boldt of the Calgary Sun's recent take on the foiled shampoo plot. Just from Dad's description, I was able to explain the Twilight Zone reference. Am I good, or what?
