On NPR's All Things Considered today, the story of some guys from Arizona who flew their helicopter to New Orleans to be of use. One of their later tasks: they heard about a hospital where one or two folks had stayed behind to take care of all of the staff members' pets. So they flew to WalMart, bought a whole mess of pet food and kitty litter, and flew it to the hospital.
There you go, Dr's R & Q, a little bit of feel-good in a huge field of misery.
