Captain Morgan Parrot Bay Rum Commercials

Just wondering...am I the only one somewhat disturbed by these commercials, featuring Carribean locals engaged in quasi-ordinary activities, interrupted by a bus falling from the sky promising them a trip to fun fun fun via rum consumption? Seems like the bus is filled with well-dressed, predominantly white partiers, as opposed to the poorly dressed locals, who often have bad teeth, to boot.

"Get on the bus," indeed.

Yes, you are the only one. Not everything is racially motivated.

As a Jamican I see it in fun. I think we are have fun with the island life. I wish Jamaican rum company had good ads as these do. Made smile.

I dunno, I like these commercials. I really want the music from them on my iPod...does anyone know the titles of the music that play during these commercials? =3 Very danceable...

Anyway, these commercials make me want to go to Jamaica and have a good time partying with the locals and just having a good time.....I guess it's because I want to escape this stressed-out America and go party with foreigners, who KNOW how to party/relax moreso than us Americans do. >_>;

What annoys me about the commercials is that they use chicken tracks (three toes to the front, one to the back) instead of parrot tracks (two front, two back) for the logo. You'd think the Parrot Bay people would know what parrots look like.

And the song is annoying.

Well, Mr. or Miss Person Above Me, at least you're not complaining about racial undertones. >_>;

I thought it was annoying, too, but then I heard it a bazillion times and I had to have it. =D That's just me, I love all music. But I guess soca is acquired.
