Cleaning out

So, I packed up five boxes of books to de-clutter the house--to make it prettier for showing, now that it's been listed. I also took a box over to the local (tiny) used bookstore to see if I could get anything for them. Not much, I'm afraid. But, I'm $21 richer, minus the $3.24 I spent on Faith Gartney's Girlhood, a 1909 reprint of an 1863 novel for young people--apparently one of the bestsellers of the decade. That's a "someday" project, working on adolescent girls' fiction.

I've still got a stack of lesbian fiction and erotica, so holler if you want it. I'll just charge shipping.

This house is cleaner than I've ever kept any house I've lived in! I'm dusting and Febreezing a couple of times a day, running the dustmop to pick up stray pet hair to boot. If only the weather were cooler, I'd pop some cookies in the oven for ambience. And nibbling.
