Home again, home again

Just picked up Miss Maddie from the vet, where she boarded for the weekend, because some of us didn't plan ahead very well for going away over the holiday weekend. The cats, well, I'm ashamed to admit it--they were left alone to their own devices. And yes, there was still a bit of kibble left in the dishes when we got home, and they hadn't started in on the dog kibble. Bad owners, no doughnut.

Anyway, we spent the weekend in Jersey City with Dr. B at his lovely apartment, where he treated us like queens. We wanted to get to know the area a bit better as we were considering where we might live when we move later this summer, so we explored different neighborhoods and looked at real estate ads. We also attended a party in Brooklyn, which was a blast, and had dinner in suburbia with some of my new colleagues. (I put my fingers in my ears and hummed when they discussed office politics--I'm just not ready!)

On the way home, we stopped at an outlet mall and purchased a new interview suit for Ms J, who has begun applying for High Powered Executive Jobs. I'm forever impressed by her.

WHAT TOTAL FUN. Your life is good, good, good. I guess a weenie roast in the boondocks can't hold a candle to a party in Brooklyn. You're going to have a ball. Keep your fingers in your ears as long as possible.

You're welcome to visit again any time! So much fun to have you as my official visitors . . . and Brooklyn is quite the place, I must say! Why don't we pack our bags and head across the river?
