Reasons why Maddie is in the doghouse:
1. She's sulking because Alpha Woman has been traveling so much lately.
2. When we were both gone, she pooped on the floor for the housesitters.
3. This even though said housesitters spoil her and walk her twice a day.
4. Today, when Alpha and I were trying to quickly pick up my car from the shop and get Alpha back to work (so that she can leave there this evening and head to NJ for training), Maddie decided it would be fun to run about loose in the woods behind our house and refuse to come back.
5. She only came back when we invited her to ride in the car with us.
6. She proceeded to do what she always does in the car: bark hysterically at everything and nothing.
7. This, from the back seat, because she refused to get in the far back of the Forester.
8. Because I'm feeling like such a horrible dog owner for resenting all this behavior, which is undoubtedly My Fault.

You have the enlightened pet owner philosophy too. Ube has taken to standing on his hind-legs and beating on the full length mirrors in both bedrooms every morning at about 5 am. And although, I cannot for the life of me figure out why . . . I keep trying to see if there is something I am not doing that makes him do this. And it is hard to be that insightful at 5 am, I must say.
Oh, yeah. That was Jen by the way. How'd the campus visit go? I'm dying to know!
