Things I have done today instead of writing

(Eileen, don't read this.)

1. Met Ms W for coffee (though in my defense, I *did* read over my draft and take notes whilst awaiting her arrival).
2. Shopped. Fortunately, purchased nothing, as the Visa bill arrived today.
3. Ate lunch while playing Scrabble on my computer and listening to Counterspin.
4. Updated my blog so it includes links (shouts out to Dr Amy for her able assistance).
5. Wrote a letter to the South Carolina Historical Society to request some recently discovered (by me, not them) Ada Clare correspondence.
6. Contacted a small liberal arts college to confirm receipt of my letters and transcripts. Begged them to hire me (kidding).
7. Nibbled on one 100-calorie bag of Oreo crisps. (These are overpackaged, but sweet, crunchy, and no transfats.)
8. About to walk dog.
