Under surveillance

A Cooper's Hawk is keeping an eye on our snowy back yard. Perhaps hoping a kitty cat will venture out into the snow. More likely, s/he's looking for chickadee snacks. I've seen a hawk swoop through the yard, snatch a black-capped chickadee from a large spruce, and keep on flying. Tasty, too.
