Happy New Year!

So, we returned (with some effort--no one wants to see a sign welcoming one to New Jersey when one had no plans of visiting that state) from Philadelphia, our brains all a-fuzz with questions and attempted responses.

"Tell us about your dissertation?"

"Why are you interested in [insert school in toolies here]?"

"How might you deal with our diverse student body?"

"How might you deal with our decidedly un-diverse student body?"

Aside from sore feets, back pain, and spending more time in strangers' hotel rooms than I'd ever like to again, I think it was a fairly successful trip. In addition to interviews, we had wonderful dining experiences at El Vez (yes, Mexican-American with a 60s lounge feel), and discovered an amazing chocolate and ice cream place, where Her Highness and I enjoyed decadent blends of vanilla ice cream and chocolate fudge cookie dough. Yum.
